A Fun Shoot with a Large Family!

Hello! I know I said I would keep this updated more this year, but I started a family blog, too, and have been trying to get that just the way I like it. I think it is finished now! Feel free to check it out at http://mcvaughmoments.blogspot.com/.

In my last post, I said I would get pictures posted from the shoots I have done so far in 2008. Here is the first one. Technically, it was shot in 2007 (day after Christmas), but by the time I had them edited and everything, it was definitely the new year!

The matriarch of this family contacted me in November about taking family pictures around Christmas while all of her children and grandchildren were in town. Not only did she want pictures of the couples and different family units, but she wanted a large family photo of everyone - 15 in all. I was a little nervous, as this was the largest group I had ever done, but as with any shoot, very excited, too. Other than it being extremely cold outside (hence some of the rosy cheeks and noses) I think it went very well. All the children were very easy to work with and I had a lot of fun! Thank you to this family for allowing me to capture these precious memories for them!
