Handsome Brothers

I just realized that I never did post pictures of these handsome brothers!! I did this shoot toward the beginning of October. We do a lot with their family through our Sunday School class and also through soccer. This was the second time I got to do pictures for them - the first was when the mom was pregnant with the baby. They are a wonderful family and I had a great time capturing these special moments for them. Enjoy!!

More Cuties!

Another shoot last night and boy was it fun. These kiddos are about the same age as my two, so I knew what to expect - lots of exploring and not wanting to stop for the camera! That is one of the fun things about taking photos of little ones!! They both really liked the locations we did the pictures - especially the big rocks and water! I look forward to taking their pictures with Mom and Dad next month. Enjoy these personal faves:

I also wanted to inform you of a couple of an event I have going on this Saturday and a "special" I am running. I am doing "mini-shoots" of little ones in their Halloween Costumes this Saturday beginning at 2:30. I will have a Fall background (bale of hay, scarecrows, pumpkins, sunflowers, etc) and each session will be 15-20 minutes. Each family that takes part will receive a free 5X7, with no obligation to buy more. Plus - no sitting fee!! I still have slots left, so please contact me if interested.

Also, due to how quickly my dates for November and December are booking up, I am offering 2 free 5X7's to those people who book a shoot with me at least 2 weeks in advance. If you are wanting photos for Christmas, please call me ASAP to get your session booked!!

Red Rangers

I love taking sports-related pictures and I got to do just that last week when I did team pictures of the Red Rangers. They were shot at the park where the kids practice. Here are my two favorites:

What a Cutie!

The following pics are a couple of my favorites from a recent shoot I did with a good friend's youngest daughter. It was hard to choose my two favorites because she is so photogenic, I liked them all! This was just a "practice" shoot that we did while her older sister and Colton were practicing soccer, but we had a lot of fun! "K" is one of those kids that just oozes with personality and it really shows in her pictures. I can't wait to "practice" on her again! Enjoy the pics!

Three Senior Boy Shoots in 4 Days!!

Hello! It's been a while since I posted, but that is ok because that meant I was busy! I got to shoot 3 senior boys all in 4 days and they were all friends and all were referred to me by the same person - thanks, Debbie P.! I had a lot of fun and I am still trying to get all the pictures edited and posted on my website. We got the yearbook photos taken care of though, so that was good (deadline was Oct. 1). I am sure you know what is coming next...

Sunflowers in Mimbres

Been busy with other things lately, and while I have quite a few shoots coming up, I don't have one to post right now. So, instead of "people portraits," I decided to post some pictures I took of the beautiful sunflowers that are covering the Mimbres Valley. Colin and I took the kids there to camp and visit my parents a couple of weeks ago and there were more sunflowers than I had ever seen up there. They also seemed a lot bigger and fuller than in previous years. Enjoy!

I also wanted to give everyone a heads up (mainly those with small children) that I will be having a Fall/Halloween Portrait Open House on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at my house. You will be able to sign up for a time for a mini-shoot of your child/children dressed in their Halloween costumes on a Fall background. Each family will get one free 5X7, with no obligation to buy. Plus, there will be refreshments and other fun stuff, too. More information will be sent out as the date gets closer, but please mark your calendars!

Another Senior Shoot - This Time a Boy!

Here are a couple of my faves from another senior shoot I did. After 3 senior girl shoots, I was excited to have a senior boy ask me to do his pictures! I met them at their house and really enjoyed the breathtaking views of the mountains and valley that they have. A big thank you to both him and his mom for allowing me to document this special time in his life.

Off to Kindergarten!

Well - it has finally happened. Our little boy started Kindergarten! It doesn't seem like it has been 5 1/2 years since he was born! He was ready, though, and has been very excited about his teacher (whom we all really like) and all the new friends he is going to make. Today was his first full day and he hugged Colin and I and ran off to play, leaving me fighting back tears. I really wanted to remember this special time, so besides the regular first day of school pictures, I took him out for some shoots in some of his new school clothes. It was a great way to spend some mother/son time, although if you asked him, I could have taken a few less pictures! Anyway, as usual, here are 6 of my favorites. Another Fun Senior Shoot!

I had another Senior Shoot last night, again with a girl I know through 4-H. She has the best personality, so I knew it would be a great session! It was cloudy and we thought we might get rained out, but it all turned out fine. I would like to thank her for being a good sport and letting me try out a few new locations to do pictures!! Look at This Little Cutie!

Hello! I had a very fun shoot over the weekend with an adorable little boy! His parents are in our Sunday School class and they are just the sweetest family. "Baby B" as I will refer to him, was in a wonderful mood and very easy going! He really liked being in the old tub and the only time he even fussed a little bit was when we pulled him out of it! I am very grateful to him and his family for giving me the opportunity to do their photos. The following pictures are just a few of my many favorites. Enjoy!

Hello! I know it's been over a week since I last posted, but I was busy at State 4-H Conference all of last week. I am still trying to catch up on sleep, but aside from that, it was a great time. The week prior to that, however, I was asked to take some pictures of a teen girl I met through 4-H. She is running for the Fair Rodeo Queen this year and needed some headshots. While I was out at her house, though, she asked if I could take some pictures of her with her horses and I gladly agreed! I also noticed their horse trailer and asked if I could try some on that as possible senior pics. I had a lot of fun and here are a couple of my favorites:

Happy 4th of July!

Pre-Birthday Shoot with Cady

So far, the most challenging photo shoots have been those with my own kids. Especially Cady, who I took out yesterday evening to try and get some pre-birthday pictures. Thanks to help from Colin and Colton (they sure are good at acting silly), I think it was successful. We cannot believe that she is going to be 2 in a couple of weeks! First Maternity Shoot

A friend of mine who is expecting a new son any day now asked me if I would do maternity pictures of her and of course I jumped at the chance! We did the pictures at her house in their sunroom and it was so much fun! Her husband and sons were great sports, too. Here are some of my favorites:

A Delightful Family

I had another family shoot over this past weekend and it was so much fun. They are the family of a co-worker, who live in Ohio and were in town for a visit. The little boys were great sports and the beautiful yard belongs to their great-grandparents.

Thank you to all of you who have checked out my blog and website in the past week and thank you for all the kind and supportive emails. I am so excited and thankful that everything is falling into place. I have my first maternity shoot with a good friend this weekend and I am really looking forward to that! I will let you all know how it goes.
