Red Rangers

I love taking sports-related pictures and I got to do just that last week when I did team pictures of the Red Rangers. They were shot at the park where the kids practice. Here are my two favorites:

What a Cutie!

The following pics are a couple of my favorites from a recent shoot I did with a good friend's youngest daughter. It was hard to choose my two favorites because she is so photogenic, I liked them all! This was just a "practice" shoot that we did while her older sister and Colton were practicing soccer, but we had a lot of fun! "K" is one of those kids that just oozes with personality and it really shows in her pictures. I can't wait to "practice" on her again! Enjoy the pics!

Three Senior Boy Shoots in 4 Days!!

Hello! It's been a while since I posted, but that is ok because that meant I was busy! I got to shoot 3 senior boys all in 4 days and they were all friends and all were referred to me by the same person - thanks, Debbie P.! I had a lot of fun and I am still trying to get all the pictures edited and posted on my website. We got the yearbook photos taken care of though, so that was good (deadline was Oct. 1). I am sure you know what is coming next...

Sunflowers in Mimbres

Been busy with other things lately, and while I have quite a few shoots coming up, I don't have one to post right now. So, instead of "people portraits," I decided to post some pictures I took of the beautiful sunflowers that are covering the Mimbres Valley. Colin and I took the kids there to camp and visit my parents a couple of weeks ago and there were more sunflowers than I had ever seen up there. They also seemed a lot bigger and fuller than in previous years. Enjoy!

I also wanted to give everyone a heads up (mainly those with small children) that I will be having a Fall/Halloween Portrait Open House on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at my house. You will be able to sign up for a time for a mini-shoot of your child/children dressed in their Halloween costumes on a Fall background. Each family will get one free 5X7, with no obligation to buy. Plus, there will be refreshments and other fun stuff, too. More information will be sent out as the date gets closer, but please mark your calendars!

Another Senior Shoot - This Time a Boy!

Here are a couple of my faves from another senior shoot I did. After 3 senior girl shoots, I was excited to have a senior boy ask me to do his pictures! I met them at their house and really enjoyed the breathtaking views of the mountains and valley that they have. A big thank you to both him and his mom for allowing me to document this special time in his life.

Off to Kindergarten!

Well - it has finally happened. Our little boy started Kindergarten! It doesn't seem like it has been 5 1/2 years since he was born! He was ready, though, and has been very excited about his teacher (whom we all really like) and all the new friends he is going to make. Today was his first full day and he hugged Colin and I and ran off to play, leaving me fighting back tears. I really wanted to remember this special time, so besides the regular first day of school pictures, I took him out for some shoots in some of his new school clothes. It was a great way to spend some mother/son time, although if you asked him, I could have taken a few less pictures! Anyway, as usual, here are 6 of my favorites. Another Fun Senior Shoot!

I had another Senior Shoot last night, again with a girl I know through 4-H. She has the best personality, so I knew it would be a great session!
